For our purposes, Western Europe includes Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland (Republic of), Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Vatican City State (Holy See), Gibraltar, Greece, Greenland and San Marino.

There are two different delivery methods for Western Europe: Airmail and Priority Express. The rates for each method are listed below. You'll be given the opportunity to choose a delivery method when you place your order.

VAT is charged on delivery rates for goods dispatched to destinations in the European Union (EU). The delivery rates listed above do not include VAT, which we can only calculate when we know the destination address for your order because tax rates differ across the EU. You'll see the VAT charged on your delivery rate on the summary page when you place your order.

Note: under EU VAT legislation certain Books items (such as audio books) are not eligible for lower-rate VAT, and in those cases the standard VAT rate will apply.

To work out how long it'll take to get your stuff, add the availability of the item onto the delivery time.

Remember to check availabilities carefully if you order more than one item, as you won't receive anything until all the items are available. In the case of pre-order or long availability items, it's recommended that you request separate deliveries as items become available (at extra postage cost).

Super Saver Delivery is not available for orders delivered outside the UK.

If you order a games console your delivery may be subject to a surcharge of £3 (plus VAT, if applicable). This is for your security because of the bulky and expensive nature of such items. If the item is subject to a surcharge it will be clearly stated on its product information page. To work out the full delivery cost of a console (with surcharge), add together the "Per Item" rate, the "Per Delivery" rate and the surcharge as follows:

If you order a hard-to-find book your delivery may be subject to a surcharge of £1.99 (plus VAT if applicable). If the item is subject to a surcharge it will be clearly stated on its product information page. To work out the full delivery cost of a book (with surcharge), add together the "Per Item" rate, the "Per Delivery" rate and the surcharge as follows:

If you order certain larger items, your delivery may be subject to a fixed delivery charge instead of the delivery charges listed above. Where this is the case, the fixed delivery charge will be clearly stated on the product's information page.
